So after my last post I realised I’d done just so many more things this last six months – things kept catching my eye and I was like, wait, there’s more! Derp. Well here they are.
I’ve been crocheting granny squares that i’m going to turn into a poncho. My first crochet made it into a post 7 months ago, i’ve done these since. Crochet is very soothing.
I made two dresses from the ‘eve pattern’ (wrap around), one in an Australian wildflower print, one in octopus orange. Very comfy and should fit me as i put on and take off weight. I did a wardrobe overhaul and piffed things I didn’t like or that didn’t fit me…a LOT of things got piffed, realised i was down to very few comfortable mid season cotton dresses, so make these I did. i had to tweak the pattern quite a lot to get things to fit. Apparently I have no waist , very odd.
Another maccas furby mashup and toy from the op shop, this one useing some of the feathers from dad’s fly fishing stash. This furby looks like grumpy cat.
A friend had a cookie jar with a missing head, and asked if i’d use it, I took the eyeless furby from the pre-peeled furby lot and …made whatever this is. It came out well and i really despise it, so…success?
Found a ‘zebra “craft” kit’ in an op shop…a it was pretty much premade, you just stuffed it, sewed up the hole, and hung it…. (how is that a craft kit???) and also i’ve seldom seen a gingham zebra, so I gave it a few coats of white and then used poscas and fun fur fabric to give it a bit of a makeover. The cats were unimpressed with the lame kit, too.
The pictures i uploaded of my Monster high boy/horse centuar last year didn’t show his shiny leather chest straps, so here he is. Monster High boy dolls are freakin adorable. Same fun fur as the rainbow zebra, which i also used for a furby custom.
I have been enjoying hirameki, beacuse i don’t have to think, the blobs and some suggestions are alreay there. I didn’t think i’d like it but i did. Also trying to regualry just doodle/draw and felt an desire to do some things in colour.
Lucky last…i was thinking about Mombi in “Return to Oz” and in the mood to do some face -ups. So i made her some more heads from monster high dolls (there is another one but it didn’t turn out ok yet). I used the airbrush for the skin on these, which turned out oddly satisfying but not intentionally, and there were some happy accidents. I am not good at airbrush yet at all. AT ALL.
