I made two lots of Twin Peaks themed things in the last few months.

Laptop bag and sleeve

My laptop didn’t fit in my laptop bag and I decided in my wisdom to make a bag. I had never made a bag: I assumed it would be easy.
Narrator: It was not easy

I chose to do a padded bag that has two external pockets, an internal lining with a zip pocket, and a side pocket, and a removable, padded laptop sleeve. It took me over an hour just to cut out the pieces, which was a bit alarming and pretty much I struggled through this sewing process over about 4 days. So much basting and problem solving. Still, it’s done now and I love the outcome!

Necklaces

The other thing I did was made two TP themed necklaces for my Gin Peaks buddies. We do in fact get together and watch The Return and drink. It’s taken a lot time to get through as there have been six lockdowns in the time we started doing David Lynch movie drinking sessions, and so we not done yet.

I picked things that suited the theme, both from the original series and the return, did them on shrinkie paper in posca pens, shrank them, then coated everything in glazes of UV resin, then made them up into necklaces, which I presented to Gin Peaks people on the last day we had it. I struggled to finish these as I had a very different set of ideas and intents in my mind when I set out, but I think it worked out ok.
