We found a bit of landscape in the north part of the Grampians that had been burned out quite recently. The understory vegetation was returning/small trees were starting to grow- but the old trees were blackened and these were not eucalyptus, so no epicormic buds. The dead trunks will eventually fall away and be replaced by the newer trees. It was a super rainy day when we went and so all the rock colours were intensified. Super pretty.
